Dirtbag John's college roomate in the Bay Area had a shirt printed with the word Dirtbag on the chest. He gave it to DBJ as a gift. John wore it to some live concerts and the rest is history.

Artist Endorsement (General)
For 25 years, we have been endorsing artists of all different levels. We continuously develop and offer resources to artists including Tour Support Equipment, Tour Support Product, our Affiliate Program, Advertising, Press, Merchandise Production and of course discounts on Dirtbag gear. We are always looking for new ways to bring value to artist lives. Have an idea? Send us a message.
After you apply, the Board of Dirtbags will be notified. Your information and internet sites will be reviewed, and if deemed worthy, you’ll be approved. If I were you, I’d review your website and social media pages to ensure that it is presentable prior to submitting.
Like thousands of other companies, we use software to manage our customer service. Where we differ for many companies in the entertainment industry is that when you reach out via email or social sites we have real people with answers to your questions. After you receive your approval email, there will be additional correspondence sent via email informing of you your backstage password and showing off all of the products and services Dirtbag has to offer.

1. If the board of Dirtbags sees any derogatory. racist, sexist, hatred or just plain unprofessionalism on your sites, in your feeds, or on your page; you will be disapproved. There’s enough of that crap in the world and that’s not how we operate.
2. If your inability to make a professional site or page inhibits a board member from easily reviewing your presence; you will be disapproved.
3. If it takes more than 3 mouse clicks to listen to a band’s music, you are automatically disapproved. Let’s face it… If you are making it hard for us to listen to your music, that means you’ve made it hard for your fans. You aren’t ready for endorsement.
Artist Endorsement (Tour Support Product - TSP)
Our goal with TSP is to support musicians, bands, and artists by providing an additional and cost effective revenue stream for them to sell our products and keep all the profit. Watch the TSP Video to learn more.
TSP products are exclusive Dirtbag Clothing products that fans and the general public can only purchase through our endorsed artists. Dirtbag Artists purchase TSP products at cost through the backstage area and can resell the products for whatever price they choose AND they keep 100% of the profit.
We refresh the TSP product a once or twice a year.
Using your artist account log in, visit our backstage and select TSP. Artists can only purchase TSP items backstage as these items are not for sale to the public, but only through our artists.
Artist Endorsement (Tour Support Equipment - TSE)
Our goal with TSE is to support musicians, bands, and artists by providing great musical equipment for a discount fitting of a Dirtbag. For more information on TSE, watch the TSE Video.
Replacing strings, sticks, heads, picks and maintaining your equipment can get expensive. Especially if you are the drummer. Artist Endorsement (Dirtbag Advertising)
Dirtbag Advertising is currently only available for our endorsed artists. It gives our artists access to the Dirtbag networks and social media accounts to advertise their new music, releases, and content. All media and content is screened and approved by Dirtbag staff prior to advertising and we retain the right to deny an advertisement request. Watch this video to learn more.

Results can vary based on quality of the content, the product of the content, ad targetting, budget size, and time of advertisement.
We take 20% of the total ad budget. For example, if an artist has a new song or video they wish to advertise through the Dirtbag Facebook page and they have a $100 total budget, Dirtbag will take $20 and use the remaining $80 for the ad.
Artist Endorsement (Press)
The Dirtbag Press Corps is made up of podcasters, bloggers, vloggers, radio DJs, online magazine and other press outlets. Our goal is to connect Dirtbag endorsed artists as subjects for interviews, reviews, and overall promotion to the press corps. Providing them artists and content and providing our artists an outlet to promote their new content.
Absolutely. That's what we are here for! We review and approve all content prior to promotion or posting. We also reserve the right to deny a promotion request based on quality, message, or professionalism. Afterall, you will be representing our brand.

Merchandise Production
That's what we do! For 25 years, Dirtbag Clothing has been helping brands present themselves to the world with high quality merchandise for affordable prices. We work with bands, radio stations, record labels, management companies and the general businesses for 25 years.
There really are no limits to the type of merchandise we can produce. We frequently process orders for tee shirts, hats, wristbands, flyers, stickers, posters, buttons etc. Different merchandise comes with different functions and production requirements. There are specific MOQs and processes for each type. Most of our merchandise is Made in America with some in Vietnam and Taiwan.

Quantity, how many locations, colors, and whether or not you are printing, silk screening, or embroidering the merchandise all play a role in the total price. 2. Design your merchandise. What do you want printed or embroidered? How many locations? Ink Colors? Art sizing and quantity breakdowns (48, 96, 144)

4. We will provide you a quote / invoice for payment and then a proof for your approval. ** All merchandise jobs will have a proof that is approved by you prior to production **
5. After the merchandise is produced, we will ship it to your home, venue, or FedEx hold location.
Yes! Provide us your tour dates and we can pick a city and day to have your merchandise delivered to the nearest FedEx hold location in that city. We usually aim for a location near the venue you are performing at. This only works, if you don't wait til the last minute, otherwise there are hefty expedited production and shipping fees involved.
Affiliate Program
The Dirtbag Affiliate program is an awesome way for Dirtbags to help sell the brand as well as make some revenue for doing so. Dirtbags create an affiliate account and then download special banners and links with their special affiliate code embedded within. They up load these graphics to their websites and social medias and make a post about how awesome Dirtbag Clothing is. If a user clicks that link to our website and makes a purchase, the artist or (affiliate) receives a 15% commission of the user's total purchase price. After the affiliate account reaches $33, the affiliate will be paid out by Dirtbag Clothing.

General Order Inquiries
To cancel an order you recently completed, please contact customer service at 1-858-273-3332 or email us at order@dirtbagclothing.com. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, keep in mind our system is operated to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Since these orders are most likely to ship out by next day, we cannot cancel an order once it has been shipped. You will need to wait for the order to arrive to you, and initiate a return through our standard procedures.
Due to security & liability issues, we do not take orders over the phone. However, if you need help placing an order, email order@dirtbagclothing.com and we'll help you. In that email, let us know the products you're interested in, any discount codes, and primary method of shipping you would like. We will build the order for you and email it. You would then have to input your credit card from your computer or mobile device to complete the order.
Only one promo code or deal can be applied per order. No two promo or deal combinations can be applied in the same order. Endorsed Artists receive 30% off everything in our store at all times.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. We do not accept prepaid or giftcard style credit cards.
Your credit card will be billed at the time your order is placed. You will receive an order confirmation email stating your payment has been authorized. If you haven’t received an email confirmation, it may be under review for fraud verification. In this case, Customer Service will reach out to you as soon as possible, otherwise you can contact them to determine the status. If the credit card is declined, you may see a bank post on your account. This is NOT an actual withdrawal from your account.
Yes. Your credit card will be charged once the order is approved, after the checkout process. When you enter your credit card information on the final review page, we’ll give you an order confirmation number. You will also immediately receive an email confirming that your order has been received. We will send you another email to notify you when your order has been shipped. Dirtbag Clothing DOES NOT hold credit card information or data.

We collect sales tax only in states where we have a physical office, store or dealer. This state is California. We do not collect sales tax on international orders, however duties and taxes may need to be paid to your country's customs authority before receiving your order.

Shipping
Our shipping rates are based on the best discounted Shopify rates via each specific carrier. (USPS, FedEx, and UPS) Shipping is determined at checkout dependent on which carrier is selected.
For International shipping taxes and customs fees are NOT included and will apply upon arrival.
Delivery times for orders using USPS, FedEx and UPS Ground:
If your order was placed Monday through Thursday, it will be shipped within 24 hours.
If your order was placed Friday prior to 12:00pm PST, the order may be shipped the same day. If not, it will be shipped on Monday.
Once we fulfill the order, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. If you haven't received this, your order may have been flagged for possible fraud. Please call customer service at 1.858.273.3332 to verify your order. Make sure to check your spam folders!
We ship from Southern California. Addresses in the west coast may have faster deliveries compared to addresses in the east coast, Alaska, Hawaii, or APO/FPO.
International orders should expect up to 14 business days to deliver to the associated country. However, your package may be stuck at customs for an undetermined amount of time, and it may be awaiting further duties and taxes. This may vary from country to country. Please call your national carrier to get an update on your package.
USPS standard shipments should be delivered within 2-7 business days from the date shipped, depending on location. (There are potential delays due to Covid)
FedEx Ground shipments should be delivered within 1-6 business days from the date shipped, depending on location. (There are potential delays due to Covid)
FedEx 3-Day, 2-Day, and Overnight should be delivered within 1-3 business days from the date shipped, depending on location. (There are potential delays due to Covid)
Order date is the date your order was confirmed. Ship date is the date the shipping carriers tends the package.

We only ship orders with PO boxes and APO/FPO addresses through USPS standard shipping. We are unable to expedite any of these orders through FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2-Day, or FedEx 3-Day. If you need your order expedited, we recommend placing the order with a physical address.

Please note that all international orders are subject to delays due to borders and customs policies of certain countries. If your order takes longer than 12 business days, please contact your national carrier with your USPS or DHL tracking number.
International shipping is calculated at checkout based on the destination country and weight of the products. We recommend customers take advantage of our DHL Worldwide shipping rates for all international orders. DHL provides up to date tracking information to your doorstep, where USPS may not. Shipping DOES NOT include taxes, and customs fees.
Duties (or customs tariffs) are set by the destination country's Customs authorities and are determined based on a combination including the country of origin (manufacturing) of the goods being purchased, and the classification of that merchandise. International taxes (such as value added tax, or VAT) are set by the destination country.
The customs authority in your country may require a payment of duty or tax before you receive your package.
Returns & Exchanges
If you have any problem with any items(s) and wish to return or exchange, please see below for our policy:
You may return most new items within 30 days of your original purchase. All returned items must be in new, unworn, and unwashed condition with original tags and accessories still attached.
Some items may not be eligible for returns. These items include our Face Masks
We do not provide returns or exchanges to international orders. If there is an issue with your international order, please contact us at order@dirtbagclothing.com and we will help resolve it.
Returns are completed with either a refund to the customer, an exchange for a different product, or store credit for an additional purchase.
Refunds:
We accept refunds for most items if you are unsatisfied for whatever reason. Face masks are ineligible for refunds. Refunds are processed back to the original form of payment to the customer.
Exchanges:
We accept exchanges for another size or another item of equal or less value, if you're disappointed in the product for whatever reason. If the exchange is due to customer error, the customer will pay for return shipping to be charged in an additional invoice. If the exchange is due to Dirtbag fulfillment error, shipping is on us!
Return:
1. Send an email to order@dirtbagclothing.com with your request.
2. If the exchange is due to customer error, we will email you a new invoice to provide payment for additional shipping and then a return label. If the exchange is due to an error on Dirtbag Clothing, we will just send you a return label.
3. Ensure the returned package is taped and secured for shipping, then apply the shipping label we emailed to you.
4. Drop off the returned package to your nearest carrier.
5. Once we receive a the return and inspect, we will issue the customer a refund for the product only.
Exchange:
1. Send an email to order@dirtbagclothing.com with your request.
2. If the exchange is due to customer error, we will email you a new invoice to provide payment for additional shipping and then a return label. If the exchange is due to an error on Dirtbag Clothing, we will just send you a return label.
3. Ensure the returned package is taped and secured for shipping, then apply the shipping label we emailed to you.
4. Drop off the returned package to your nearest carrier.
5. Once we receive a the tracking number for the exchanged package, we fulfill the new product to replace the old.
The only Dirtbag Clothing product currently non-returnable is our Face Masks.

Pack and seal your box securely, and in the original package, if possible. Please drop off your package to the closest shipping carrier office near you. We'll process the return/exchange when the package reaches our location.
Dirtbag Clothing is not responsible for return merchandise lost during shipping. Packages must be returned prepaid.
If you are returning an item, upon receipt and inspection of the product. Refunds usually take 1-3 business days to fully process.
